USSR - Music Speaks Louder Than Words

About the Project

Some thought it impossible at the time. The Iron Curtain had barely been opened. And yet 25 legendary US songwriters and artists traveled to Moscow, Tallin, Estonia and St. Petersburg to create a Music Bridge with 25 of their Russian counterparts. The plan? Make music. The result? An album entitled “Music Speaks Louder Than Words,” released worldwide on Epic Records, accompanied by a documentary released in Europe by our partner Storyfilm.

But in the Soviet Union now, at least in a lot of the artists and people we encountered, there a real fire there. They’ve tasted freedom.
